CDS International is committed to the advancement of international career training opportunities to provide individuals with in-depth practical knowledge of other nations’ business practices, cultures, and political traditions. CDS believes these experiences help strengthen global cooperation and understanding among individuals, businesses, organizations, and communities. Given their strategic plans for growth and overarching goal of helping people build careers through international exchange, the organization asked for data collection and program measurement tools for their J-1 visa program. To supplement the outputs that CDS had been measuring already, the Capstone team created data collection instruments, as well as an implementation and analysis plan to enable them to measure the impact international training and internship opportunities had on their participants. In addition, the team provided a report that included a logic model, and information about best practices in outcome evaluation, program measurement, and survey methodology.
