Innovatix, LLC

Innovatix, LLC is a dynamic, full-service group purchasing organization (GPO) that services more than 4,400 alternate site providers throughout the United States. In September of 2003, Innovatix started an initiative in response to members’ requests aptly named “Innovatix Direct.” It would allow members to purchase generic drugs from a pharmaceutical manufacturer directly without the interference or price markups of the wholesalers. By circumventing the usual practice of buying through wholesalers, healthcare providers can free up more money for other projects or better patient care. The resident was involved with strategic planning, data analysis, and early implementation. The program successfully launched in February 2004 with members being offered a 10% rebate from a large pharmaceutical manufacturer.
