New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell

Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer of New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, the resident obtained broad-based exposure to hospital operations through a variety of experiences, including coordinating development of the annual operating budget, developing a Perioperative Services dashboard, managing two successful leadership recruitments, serving as project manager on several key hospital initiatives, and interacting extensively and collaboratively with many members of the hospital’s senior leadership team. Facilitated by supportive mentoring by the preceptor, this residency has helped to provide the resident with a significantly enhanced understanding of hospital administration as well as the experience of having served in a valuable capacity for the organization.
