The Resident worked on several projects with the Administrator of the Department of Medicine, as well as with Administrators of the various Divisions within the department. The Resident created monthly financial reports of the various Faculty Group Practices under the Division of Cardiology for the Director’s review. RVU tracking and analysis was also done on a monthly basis by the Resident, and presented in a report format to the Director of Gastroenterology at Bellevue Hospital. The Resident also created a survey and conducted a pilot for implementing a 360-degree evaluation of the Internal Medicine Residents by the patients. The Resident also helped the Administrator of Pulmonary Disease gather information for a business plan to recruit new faculty members for the Division. Other projects also included collecting and managing data for an Internal Self-Study done by the department, conducting audits of the Division of Cardiology’s billing company, and gaining further exposure to the institution by attending meetings and shadowing relevant administrators.
