New York University School of Medicine, Planning and Business Initiatives
The Resident was involved in numerous projects within Planning and Business Initiatives (PBI), which functions as an internal consulting unit to the executive leadership at the School of Medicine (SoM). Supported by the department, the Resident was responsible for managing operations for the institution-wide recruitment process, working with over r29 departments at the SoM and over 100 authorizers and administrators. Within the recruitment process, the Resident also worked on projects including maintaining departmental checkbooks, tracking cycle times for parts of the process and reporting to authorizers, and preparing and conducting training sessions for new users. In addition, the Resident also oversaw the operations for a new interactive online search committee tool piloted for the Dean of the SoM’s Growth Agenda. The Resident also worked on benchmarking and projecting expenses, revenues and start-up costs for a 10-Year Plan related to new recruits in the Dean’s Growth Agenda.
