Workflow Management In A Nursing Home

The Village Center for Care of New York has been using the computer-based workflow management software known as eWorks to monitor their falls prevention program. To remain on the cutting edge in a rapidly changing health care environment, the organization has decided to expand the use of the eWorks application to their Village Nursing Home to automate the transfer of information within its admissions and discharge processes. To ensure the successful implementation of eWorks, the Village Nursing Home asked the Capstone team to conduct a complete examination and “mapping” of its existing admissions and discharge processes, recommendations for any improvements to these processes, and the establishment of benchmarks for future process evaluations.
