Is the GRE or GMAT required for admission?

The GRE or GMAT is strongly recommended but not required for admission into most of NYU Wagner's Master's-level programs. The GRE or GMAT is required for those applying to the Master of Science in Public Policy (MSPP) and the PhD in Public Administration.
Whether you choose to submit it or not is entirely your choice. Many of our merit-based aid recipients submit GRE/GMAT scores. It is an additional data point that can help us assess academic potential so we encourage, but definitely do not require, applicants to prepare for and take the GRE/GMAT to round out their application.
