Is work experience required for admission?

While we do prefer to see about 2 years of relevant professional experience (including full-time, part-time, internship or volunteer experience), this is not a requirement of admission.  Students who do not have two years of full-time, degree-relevant, professional experience will participate in the Professional Experience Requirement (PER): https://wagner.nyu.edu/portal/students/careers/resources/per

In addition, taking a proactive stance towards gaining experience and delving into the field you wish to study is highly recommended. We get a wide range of applicants with a variety of backgrounds, including many different undergraduate courses of study.
