Forbes Highlights NYU Wagner Graduates in '30 Under 30' Honor Roll
Recent NYU Wagner graduates Alexandra Meis (MPA 2013) and Miriam Altman (MPA 2013) have made Forbes' annual "30 under 30" honor roll of up-and-coming education entrepreneurs—individuals who are "rethinking learning with the three Cs: code, college readiness and community impact."
While attending NYU Wagner, the pair helped update the way teachers monitor and improve student attendance, a linchpin of high academic achievement. Their now much-acclaimed app, Kinvolved, allows families, schools, and after-school programs to collect and share data on attendance instantaneously. According to Forbes, Kinvolved has been adopted by more than 110 school clients nationally, and counting. The magazine's annual listing adds welcome luster to the graduates' continuing success in public service.
