Four Wagner Community Members Named 2024 APPAM Equity & Inclusion Fellows

APPAM Equity & Inclusion Fellowship

Current NYU Wagner graduate student Bryan Matthew (MPA-PNP 2025), undergraduate student DeVoni Gale (BA Public Policy 2026), and alumni Aisha Balogun (MUP 2023) and Elizabeth (Nikki) Miller (MPA 2023) were all named Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM) Equity & Inclusion Fellows for 2024.

The Equity & Inclusion Fellowship, awarded to selected graduate students, undergraduate students, and young professionals from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds, supports fellows’ travel to the APPAM Annual Fall Research Conference. This year’s event will take place in National Harbor, Maryland, where fellows will have the chance to network with each other, as well as members of the APPAM Policy Council and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

The four Wagner community members were each selected from a competitive pool of applicants. Matthew was one of 40 graduate students chosen, Balogun and Miller among just five young professionals, and Gale one of five undergraduates.
