New Specialization in Social Impact Investing Is a Finalist in 2017 Voinovich Innovation Challenge
NYU Wagner’s new Social Impact, Innovation, and Investment (SI3) specialization has been named a finalist in the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) 2017 Voinovich Innovation Challenge.
The pioneering SI3, led by Professor Scott Taitel, is situated at the intersection of social impact investing and public service. The courses blend financial management, impact investment, operations, and policy to prepare students to develop entrepreneurial solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
NYU Wagner’s SI3 shares the finalist berth with: University of Maryland - The Do Good Campus: A New Model for Social Impact Innovation in Higher Learning; and University of Texas at Austin - Curriculum to Build the Next Generation of Agile Public Servants. All three schools will present their “pitch” at the NASPAA annual conference on October 13, and answer questions from a panel of expert judges.
