Pentland Scholarship Offered for NYC/London Executive MPA Progam

President Clinton and UCL Prof. David Coen

The Pentland Scholarship is a full scholarship available to students from Africa, Asia-Pacific or Latin America to study in the unique Global Executive Master in Public Administration (EMPA) degree program of NYU Wagner and University College London. The scholarship application, with a March 3, 2016, deadline, is available online.

The scholarship will be awarded to outstanding young people who have at least seven years of management-related experience, and can demonstrate a capacity to benefit from the program, a clear sense in which they will be able to contribute to public service, and who lack the means to finance their own study.

The Global EMPA is a full-time, one-year program intended for experienced leaders – analysts, decision makers, and managers – in domestic and international organizations, and in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors. The program equips public service leaders with the knowledge and skills they need to design and implement effective and sustainable solutions to unprecedented global challenges. Students spend the first semester at NYU Wagner in New York, the spring term at UCL in London, and the summer in locations across the globe working on a client-based Capstone project.
