Two NYU Wagner PhD Candidates Receive Grant Awards from Horowitz Foundation for Social Policy

We are delighted to announce that the newest Horowitz Foundation for Social Policy Grant recipients include NYU Wagner PhD candidates Andrew Breck and Davin Reed – two of 20 award winners chosen by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees from 535 applications.

“The winners were chosen by the Trustees for their potential to contribute to social policy on both a global and local level,” said Mary E. Curtis, Chair of the Horowitz Foundation. The Foundation was established in 1997 to support the advancement of research and understanding in the major fields of the social sciences.

Andrew Breck received the Foundation’s grant award for his research into “The Effect of Participation in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program on Health and Healthcare Expenditure.” At the same time, Davin Reed drew the support for his research on “Distributional and Welfare Effects of Gentrification.”
