Wagner welcomes its Summer 2023 Fellows
On May 4, 2023, the NYU Wagner Office of Career Services (OCS) hosted a kickoff event for NYU Wagner fellows who will be completing public service internships this summer. Attendees included recipients of the Ellen Schall Experience Fund, the Henry Hart Rice Urban Studies Fellowship, the Wagner City Government Internship Grant, the Bloomberg Public Service Fellowship, the Lisa Ellen Goldberg Fellowship, and the David Bohnett Fellowship.
The summer cohort of fellows consists of students in the MPA, MUP, and EMPA programs at Wagner who will be completing internships at a variety of public service organizations. Students will be engaged in meaningful, degree-relevant work aimed at building skills and making an impact through public service.
During the event, students had the opportunity to network, share about their upcoming internship experiences, and build community among their cohort. NYU Wagner faculty and staff provided insights on how students can make the most of their summer internships and leverage their experiences to inform their future academic and professional goals. Fellows will continue to engage as a cohort in professional development events hosted by OCS throughout the summer. In September, fellows will come back together at Wagner to share their learnings and takeaways from their summer experiences with the NYU Wagner community.
