Jennifer Maulsby is the Founder and Director of Everyday Philanthropy, a volunteer-powered 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving over 20,000 New Yorkers. It delivers critical community support, education, and outreach programs that address unmet needs through strategic partnerships with hundreds of volunteers and service providers. Since its founding, Everyday Philanthropy has delivered 100,000+ essential undergarments and toiletries to NYC's most vulnerable, including individuals experiencing homelessness, children in foster care with severe disabilities, and survivors of domestic violence.
Over the last two decades, Jennifer has held leadership positions in large public agencies and nonprofit organizations, including the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Safe Horizon, and New Yorkers For Children, NYC's Administration for Children's Services' nonprofit partner. Jennifer is a Board Member of Manhattan Community Board 7 and serves on the Health and Human Services and Preservation Committees. She also serves on the Board of Directors at GallopNYC, a premier therapeutic horseback riding program serving adults and children with disabilities.
In support of her commitment to NYU Wagner, the DAC, and its role in strengthening the public sector's leadership capacity, Jennifer established the Excellence in Government scholarship for Wagner students. Jennifer lectures about "The Promise of Public Service and the Power of Volunteerism" to advocate for post-graduate careers in public service.
Jennifer holds an MPA from NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and an MS in Health Law and Strategy from NYU's School of Law and the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She has a BA in Psychology and Women's Studies from Saint Mary's College of California.
