REFUGEE ECONOMIC INTEGRATION AND CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Refugee Integration Insights (RII) is a specialized provider of private sector refugee data and insights. RII examines corporate social responsibility (CSR) reports and other proprietary data for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investors to provide a methodology for tracking and assessing corporate refugee action across quantitative and qualitative metrics. The Capstone team conducted a landscape analysis for RII on the topics of CSR and the integration of refugees into the workplace. It analyzed the boundaries and opportunities for CSR as a response to the refugee crisis, including an overview of how the private sector has addressed past refugee crises. The team also completed a trend analysis of RII's proprietary dataset, uncovering trends in the integration of refugees into the workplace. Drawing on its findings, the team produced a policy memo and final report that examines the ESG investing space and makes recommendations for RII's position within and contributions to ESG investing, including communication considerations to bring its ideas to the mainstream.
