NYU Wagner student and alumna awarded fellowship by the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management
Justin Campos (MPA 2023) and Sih-Ting Cai (MPA 2017) have been honored as 2022 Equity & Inclusion Fellowship Student Recipients by the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM). APPAM is a professional association dedicated to advancing the field of public policy and management through research, analysis, and education.
The Equity & Inclusion Fellowship Program brings students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds to APPAM’s Annual Fall Research Conference, supporting their travel and participation. Fellows will have opportunities to network with other students and professionals at the conference. Through this program, APPAM looks to foster lifelong engagement with the world of public policy and with APPAM.
Justin Campos is a current Wagner MPA-PNP student. His research interests lie within human services programming and evaluating poverty alleviation policy, particularly the study of short-term, lifecycle, and intergenerational poverty. Justin is the editor-in-chief of NYU’s public service academic journal, the Wagner Review. Justin is also a philanthropy fellow at the New York Community Trust where he works on grantmaking for projects and programs related to workforce development, youth development, education, human services, and human justice. He was formerly at the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C. where he worked with the Institute’s global economy project.
Sih-Ting Cai received her MPA in Health Policy and Management from Wagner in 2017. Her research at Wagner focused on the economic burden of ESRD in the U.S. and the effects of gentrification on access to care in New York City. Sih-Ting is a registered nurse who has practiced in the U.S., Australia, and Taiwan. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Pittsburgh studying Health Services Research and Policy with an emphasis on health economics.
Congratulations to Justin and Sih-Ting!
