Join us for a screening of the documentary Bending the Arc, which chronicles on the work of Partners in Health (PIH) and features the work of the late Paul Farmer, one of the co-founders. PIH has worked for over 30 years to achieve two overarching goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need and serve as an antidote to despair. PIH advances the right to health based on solidarity rather than charity, establishing long-term relationships with sister organizations based in settings of poverty.

Pizza will be served at 6:00 PM,  followed by the screening at 6:15 PM. After the screening, the PIH Engage New York City chapter leaders and Dr. Betty Kolod will discuss opportunities to support the work of Partners in Health through advocacy and fundraising. Dr. Kolod is the Chair of Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) State Legislative Advocacy Working Group, a key member of the organizing team for PNHP Universal Healthcare Legislative Advocacy Fellowship (UHLAF), and a leader in the NY Docs Coalition.
