Yes! You can request a phone/Skype conversation or coffee meeting with an alumnus (and/or current student). 

Most courses are held in the early evening (4:55pm and 6:45pm) with some degree core course sections offered during the day. Some electives or sections of electives are offered on an intensive basis on Fridays or Saturdays.

NYU has very limited graduate housing. Therefore, we suggest our students considering finding housing within the city, and our Office of Off-Campus Housing has extensive resources to help you with your search.

Yes, definitely. About 40% of entering Wagner students are "part-time" students, working full- or part-time while attending Wagner. These numbers actually go up during a student's time at Wagner, with many students finding jobs (often through help from career services, Wagner alumni, or faculty), and changing from full-time student status to part-time.

Interviews are only part of the admissions process for those who are fellowship semi-finalists, as well as some EMPA and dual-degree candidates (BA/MPA, BA/MUP, and BS/MUP), at the request of the review committee. An interview is not part of the application process for MPA, MSPP, and MUP applicants.

Please write candidly and analytically about the applicant's qualifications and potential to carry on advanced study. Treatment of both strong and weak points will be helpful in describing such attributes as motivation, intellect, maturity, and other relevant characteristics.

Unfortunately, students need to apply to the non-degree program to take classes as a non-matriculated student.

If you have an interest in policy analysis, regardless of your major, you are encouraged to apply to the program. The curriculum is significantly focused on quantitative courses, including economics, statistical analysis, and financial management.
