What is the application notification timetable?

The admissions review at NYU Wagner is conducted on a modified rolling basis. Each deadline has a specific notification date. Once an application is completed, it will be forwarded to the Admissions Committee for review. An application is considered complete and ready for review when all required materials are received in the admissions office.

Where can I find resources for housing and living in New York?

Whether you live on or off campus, are here for the summer, or are living in faculty housing, you will find yourself living "in and of" New York City. Manhattan's vibrant Greenwich Village neighborhood is home to many of NYU's campus buildings.

How can I pay my tuition deposit?

To pay your tuition deposit, you must first accept your NYU offer of admission.

To do so, please take the following actions:

1. Activate your NYU Net ID and account by visiting the following start page and following the instructions.

Can full-time students work in the first semester?

Wagner does not recommend that full-time students work in their first semester. Rather, it is advisable to focus on adapting to the new setting of graduate school; also, core courses are a significant time commitment, requiring additional recitation/lab sections in addition to coursework. Once full-time students enter their second semester, most will work part-time.

Does Wagner offer interviews?

Interviews are only requested for those who are fellowship finalists, as well as EMPA and dual-degree candidates, at the request of the review committee.

Is the GRE or GMAT required for admission?

The GRE or GMAT is strongly recommended but not required for admission into most of NYU Wagner's Master's-level programs. The GRE or GMAT is required for those applying to the Master of Science in Public Policy (MSPP) and the PhD in Public Administration.
