Each year, NYU Wagner awards a quarter million dollars - in the form of $7,500 stipends - to up to 25 students who have taken on degree relevant and career advancing unpaid summer internships!
Is it possible to switch from part-time to full-time enrollment?
Yes! You may change your enrollment status from full-time to part-time, or vice versa, without notifying the University.
Is it possible to go from a full-time student to a part-time student?
Part-time vs. full-time status is determined by the number of credits you register for each semester. There isn't anything special you need to do to go from one status to another - taking 12 or more credits is considered full-time, taking fewer than 12 credits is considered part-time.
How do I find housing?

How do I decide which section of Capstone I should enroll in?
Students are randomly assigned to a Capstone section based on their program and specialization.
How do I Add/Drop a course after the Albert period is closed?
After the Add/Drop deadline on Albert, students may not add or withdraw from a course via Albert.
How are individuals and groups graded in the Capstone Program?
Students are graded on both the products they deliver to their clients and evidence of progressive learning throughout the course. Grades account for students' participation in both class activities and team work and their ability to act on peer and faculty feedback.
Are there ever research assistant opportunities with Wagner faculty?
Yes, many Wagner faculty are involved with large research and program evaluation projects. Many of these include positions for full- or part-time research assistants, and Wagner students are strongly encouraged to apply for these positions.
How do I take a leave of absence?
Matriculated students in good standing who need to take a leave of absence from school for one or more semesters for national service or serious illness are required to submit a written leave of absence request to the administrator of their program along with supporting documentation.

The Capstone Expo is an opportunity at the conclusion of the program in May for all Capstone teams to come together and share their processes and findings with clients, faculty, administration, other students, and members of the wider NYU community.

Students may have the opportunity to work with faculty through research projects or as a graduate assistant.

In order to fulfill the PER, a position must be directly relevant to a student’s degree program and/or specialization at Wagner.
How do I change my specialization?
MPA and MUP students are required to choose their specialization during the semester in which they complete their 12th credit. For full-time students, this is their first semester and for part-time students, it is usually their second semester.
How do I qualify for half-time equivalency and what is the process for having it added to my record?
The University defines "full time" as taking 12 or more credits in one semester and "half time" as taking 6 or more credits in one semester. A student's enrollment status has potential implications for financial aid, particularly as it pertains to Federal student loans.
As an international student, can you provide me with authorization for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) so that I may work off-campus and be paid?
