How do I change my specialization?
MPA and MUP students are required to choose their specialization during the semester in which they complete their 12th credit. For full-time students, this is their first semester and for part-time students, it is usually their second semester.
What is the Capstone Expo?
The Capstone Expo is an opportunity at the conclusion of the program for all Capstone teams to come together and share their processes and findings with clients, faculty, administration, other students, and members of the wider NYU community.
Can I start Capstone in the spring semester?
Capstone is a 3-credit course that occurs only over the fall-spring academic year. Students enroll in 1.5 credits in the fall first, and 1.5 credits in the spring.

How are individuals and groups graded in the Capstone Program?
Students are graded on both the products they deliver to their clients and evidence of progressive learning throughout the course. Grading considers students' participation in class activities and the team's work, and their ability to act on peer and faculty feedback.
Are financial resources available to Capstone groups?
Each Capstone team will be reimbursed up to $500 for expenses such as reproduction, binding, local travel, and/or preparation of Capstone documents and display materials.

Is it possible to go from a full-time student to a part-time student?
Part-time vs. full-time status is determined by the number of credits you register for each semester. There isn't anything special you need to do to go from one status to another - taking 12 or more credits is considered full-time, taking fewer than 12 credits is considered part-time.

Matriculated students in good standing who need to take a leave of absence from school for one or more semesters for national service or serious illness are required to submit a written leave of absence request to the administrator of their program along with supporting documentation.

Wagner provides information for students to request Capstone registration in late March/early April. Once you have followed these directions, and assuming you have met all of the Capstone prerequisites, you will be registered for Capstone by July 1.
How do I request registration for Capstone?
You cannot register yourself for Capstone via Albert. The registration process will be described in detail in emails sent to all eligible students in the spring semester prior to their enrollment in Capstone.
My work schedule is hectic and I don't want to do Capstone. What are my options?
As you know, Capstone is a degree requirement for all students. Wagner believes that it is an important requirement that makes a significant difference in the quality of your academic and professional experience.
How do I Add/Drop a course after the Albert period is closed?
After the Add/Drop deadline on Albert, students may not add or withdraw from a course via Albert.
I am in my final year. Can I get full-time equivalency?
The University defines "full-time" as taking 12 or more credits in one semester and "half-time" as taking six or more credits in one semester.
