This event is a panel discussion highlighting the various ways unused or decaying urban spaces have been reinvented into urban agricultural projects that serve their communities in various ways. From growing fresh, local food to youth education, and workforce training to refugee programming, these urban agriculture programs have been able to transform urban communities in ways that far surpass city beautification and growing food. During this panel discussion, we will be discussing some of these strategies, and how urban agriculture experts have been able to utilize food and farming to impact their communities.
