Communities In Schools Partners With RCLA on Talent Development for School Reform

Communities In Schools selected RCLA as its design partner to create a leadership development initiative for its network of 181 local affiliate organizations. Through a collaborative five-month process, funded by MetLife Foundation, RCLA is working with Communities In Schools to design a new approach to developing local talent for their school reform movement in ways that will both strengthen its work in school districts across the United States and serve as an innovative model for the field more broadly. RCLA is leveraging its longstanding collaboration with CFAR (the Center for Applied Research) to bring their expertise in strategy and leadership to bear on the design process as well. The initiative builds on a rigorous five-year evaluation of Communities In Schools' program model that has demonstrated the critical role of leadership in the success of its affiliates. Communities In Schools is a Social Innovation Fund and Edna McConnell Clark Foundation True North Fund grantee.
