Ranked #9 among graduate schools of its type in the latest ordering, Wagner is far ahead of all of its New York City peer schools as of 2024, and one full notch higher than its previous national rank.
In specialty areas, Wagner is #1 in Urban Policy, #3 in Health Policy & Management, #7 in Nonprofit Management, #7 in Public Finance, #8 in International/Global Policy Administration, #10 in Social Policy, #13 in Local Government, #15 in Public Management and Leadership, and #19 in Public Policy Analysis.
As the 2024 rankings reflect, NYU Wagner is one of the leading graduate schools of public service in the country and continues trending upward, with highly skilled graduates who are increasingly in demand for careers in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors. In 2023, the school was ranked 10th, and in 2022, it was ranked 12th.
NYU Wagner is enormously grateful to the deans, directors, and department chairs of master's programs around the country whose votes have acknowledged our distinction and success.
