NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service has administered the Stephen Charney Vladeck Junior Faculty Fellowship since 1990. The Fellowship is intended to assist selected junior faculty in launching or completing substantial research in social justice, health care, labor law, labor history and individual rights. The major emphasis should be on urban problems. While the committee is particularly interested in work focused on New York City, it is not a requirement for consideration.

Each Fellow receives a one-time, non-renewable $15,000 research stipend. The 2010-2011 Fellow must use the award by December 31, 2011.
