Public Policy Analysis
This Advanced Certificate draws from NYU Wagner’s policy program to deepen students’ understanding of the way in which public policy and political realities interact at the national, state, and local levels. It provides students with a fundamental understanding of the tools necessary to conduct public policy analysis, program evaluation, cost-benefit analysis, multivariate regression, and the criteria to assessing the need for government intervention.
Students must complete 12 credits to obtain this Advanced Certificate. The curriculum is designed to be completed in two to three semesters, however students may take up to three years.

PUBLIC POLICY SPECIALIZATION
Overview
Which public policies are doing what they're designed to do, and which could do their job better? The Public Policy Analysis specialization gives you tools to make these evaluations and play a leading role in evaluating and creating policy that better serves the public good.
PHD in Public Administration
Interdisciplinary. Flexible. Powerful.
Through theoretical and methodological training, NYU Wagner's doctoral students learn how to produce insights required for effective and equitable public and nonprofit programs and policies. Our program is interdisciplinary, just like our faculty, so students can draw on economics, political science, sociology, psychology, organization studies, and other fields. What's more, it is flexible, allowing students to design a plan of study that takes advantage of the many courses offered at NYU Wagner and NYU's other graduate schools.
Management for Public & Nonprofit Organizations
NYU Wagner draws from its highly regarded Management specialization for the Advanced Certificate in Management for Public and Nonprofit Organizations. This Advanced Certificate offers knowledge and skills related to all aspects of management for public and nonprofit organizations, including strategy and decision-making, marketing, and system analysis. It is designed specifically for students who have worked in nonprofit and public organizations, but seek to deepen their training in the business aspects of running an organization.
Students must complete 12 credits to obtain this Advanced Certificate. The curriculum is designed to be completed in two to three semesters, however students may take up to three years.

Financial Management & Public Finance
This Advanced Certificate is designed for students with, or aspiring toward, a career in finance in the nonprofit or public sectors.
The curriculum exposes students to a broad array of analytical tools, including economics, budgeting, accounting, capital financing, investment management, debt management, and financial statement analysis.

Executive Master of Public Administration

Our Executive MPA (EMPA) program is designed to combine your experience and exposure with a professionally-focused education to advance your career and help you deliver social impact at an even higher level.

David Bohnett Public Service Fellowship
OVERVIEW
The Bohnett Fellowship, sponsored by the David Bohnett Foundation, allows outstanding masters students the opportunity to engage in the challenges of governing at the city level.
The Bohnett Fellowship Program provides a full tuition scholarship, as well as a $7,500 summer stipend and internship opportunity for two incoming MPA or MUP students each academic year.
Master of Science in Public Policy (1-Year Program)
The MSPP will provide you with the skills you need to assess, create, and implement public policy that has a lasting impact on the public good. This accelerated, one-year program will prepare you for a career in policy analysis in a range of fields and sectors, from local housing policy to national health policy to international development—from New York City to cities around the globe.

On November 3, NYU Wagner hosted a mixer for current students and alumni of the Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) program at our historic Puck Building. The event drew 50 attendees and provided space for EMPA students and alumni to connect and reconnect, reminiscing and meeting folks in related fields and industries. The event was also attended by Dean Sherry Glied, along with EMPA faculty and staff.
