Cameron Burns is from Norwalk, Connecticut. He earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from American University’s School of Public Affairs in 2019 and a J.D. and LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Duke University School of Law in 2023. He is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration, with an expected graduation in 2027. Cameron is committed to using his legal and policy training to advance positive social change.

Genie Kwak (she/her) is currently pursuing a master’s in Applied Statistics for Social Science Research at NYU. Her interests center on using quantitative tools to better understand social and institutional processes. Before coming to NYU, she worked in public policy research. She received her BA in sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Yeji Lee is a Sociology PhD student at NYU. She uses survey experiments and computational text analysis methods to study our beliefs about the economy and its impact on civic engagement. Outside of graduate school, Yeji has experience in labor and community organizing as well as private equity consulting. She holds an MPA with a concentration in Policy Analysis from NYU Wagner and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech.

Jillian Pizza (she/her) will graduate in May 2026 with an M.S. in Applied Statistics for Social Science Research, with a concentration in Data Science for Social Impact, from NYU Steinhardt. Her passion for using data-driven methods in the service of justice began in her undergraduate studies in politics and data science, where she developed strong qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze policy and democratic institutions. Since then, she has worked on various projects focused on measuring political messaging and ideology.

As a Parke Fellow, Jillian will work with the Brennan Center for Justice on projects related to elections and governance.
