John McNally is a part-time student heading into his third semester in the Master of Urban Planning Program at Wagner.  John graduated with a BA in Political Science with a concentration in National Security Studies and a minor in Public and Urban Affairs from Virginia Tech.  After moving back from Virginia to his native New Jersey, John worked on the Diegnan and Pinkin for State Assembly Campaign.  After his first semester at Wagner, John started an internship at the Brooklyn Borough President’s Office where he developed a database of residential development rights associated with all 2,700 faith-based lots in the borough. Currently, John is working as a Community Planning Fellow with the Fund for the City of New York and Brooklyn Community Board 17.  John is focusing his studies on Housing and Economic Development and hopes to eventually work for the New York City Department of City Planning or New York City Housing Preservation and Development.
