NYU Graduate School of Arts and Science
Overview
While we cannot guarantee capacity in NYU's Graduate School of Arts and Science (NYU GSAS), you are welcome to request registration for an approved course.
Wagner students who wish to take an elective at a department at NYU GSAS must follow the guidelines below to request registration.
Request Process
If a course you wish to take is not on the pre-approved courses list, you must obtain the syllabus and follow the specific instructions.
If a course is on the pre-approved list, or after receiving Wagner's approval if it was not on the pre-approved list, contact the professor teaching the course to request permission to take the course. Then, if permission is granted, contact the relevant department to determine if an access code is necessary for Albert registration. Finally, use the code to register for the course via Albert.
To aid you in this process, we have begun compiled a list of contacts at various departments for reference.
