What were your takeaways from this conference/case competition?
ACHE 2023 was a great experience to hear about different fellowship programs and to network with other healthcare professionals in the same field. I met with many people from other MHA programs nationwide and to hear about the different events and development opportunities offered at each program and how it has helped the student specifically. I also got to network with many healthcare professionals in different healthcare systems and companies and learned about roles that may interest me upon the completion of my degree.

How will your participation in this conference/case competition support your professional development?
I think that the networking that was done at this event was incomparable to any networking event I have attended because I met hundreds of people that had similar interests and provided insight into a career that they are in and it helped me plan for the future.

What are some next steps or action items this conference/case competition inspired?
This conference inspired me to explore more fellowship programs and speak with more people who are doing their fellowship to understand if it is something that still interests me.

What are some tips or best practices that you would like to share with other Wagner students who attend a conference/case competition?
When attending a conference, always go prepared with questions and do research prior on who will be attending. I looked at some of the sponsors of the conference and did research on the system/company to get some names and did some LinkedIn research to familiarize myself with some of the people who will be at the conference. Also, I definitely recommend a digital business card.
