What were your takeaways from this conference/case competition?
There is a need for private sector and public sector partnership to further develop the continent. Funding and industry experience from the private sector is needed. Those in the diaspora can still make a difference even living abroad. We should not just complain about underdevelopment, but be part of the solution. We have to reduce the digital illiteracy of our youth, because not knowing how to use tech in 2022 is almost the same as being illiterate.

How will your participation in this conference/case competition support your professional development?
I made great contacts to continue discussion in development topics I am interested in. The conference was also very inspirational and motivational and I have new ideas that have emerged to bring into my professional development.

What are some next steps or action items this conference/case competition inspired?
Read more about sustainability and policies that can expand sustainable energy on the continent. Connect with recruiters I met.
