What were your takeaways from this conference/case competition?
The conference was three days of intense learning and understanding how having Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) is better for both the providers and patients. My supervisor at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital was one of the speakers at the event. She shared best practices for having post-op infection rates almost equal to zero. She also emphasized the importance of having technology merge with medicine and how NYU has benefited from that in getting their infection rates down.

How will your participation in this conference/case competition support your professional development?
It was a great opportunity to network. Sharing the different projects I had worked on over the summer at Langone with other administrators and clinicians with definitely a highlight of my trip.
